Dr Marco L. Longana

Marco is a Senior Research Assistant at the Bristol Composite Institute (ACCIS) and he is currently working on the EPSRC funded project “High Performance Discontinuous Fibre Composites (HiPerDiF) – a sustainable route to the next generation of composites”. He is currently applying the HiPerDiF technology to the remanufacturing of reclaimed fibres and the manufacturing of sustainable composite materials.

He graduated in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, has a Master of Science in Material Engineering (PoliMi), a Master by Research in Nanotechnology and Microsystems (Cranfield), a PhD from the University of Southampton and a pluriannual research experience in composite manufacturing, characterisation, recycling and
sustainability.
