Recycling of Composites, Project leader CaRinA

Fraunhofer

Frank Manis has studies mechanical engineering at the KIT in Karlsruhe from 2007 till 2013. His focused topics were lightweight engineering and material science. After that, he has done his diploma thesis at SGL Carbon in the field of sizing development. In 2014 he has begun to work for the Fraunhofer IGCV as scientist in the recycling of composites. 2016 his phd-study at the Technical University Munich has begun. At the moment he is working on several industry and public funded projects in the field of fibre matrix separation, testing of recycled carbon fibres (rCF) and the reuse of rCF. In 2017 he brought the Project “CaRinA- Recycled carbon fibres for industrial application” on the way.
