Faserinstitut Bremen e.V. (FIBRE)

Lars Bostan is a scientific assistant at the Faserinstitut Bremen e.V. (FIBRE) and is responsible for melt spinning of filament yarns. With more than 11 years experience in fibre development and material modification incl. approx 7 years in processing different lignins and analysing their material and spinning behaviour, he is also a team member of the GreenLight project. Within this project, his main focus is the scale-up of the lignin melt spinning process.

FIBRE operates a technical center as well as an accredited materials laboratory and handles both application and basic questions. Research focuses lie on new construction methods and manufacturing processes for fiber composite structures, the material science development and characterization of new fibers, technical textiles, polymers and fiber composites made of natural and carbon fibers and the development of test methods.
