Lucy Eggleston is an associate research engineer at the National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol, England. She holds a first class Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, and a Masters degree, with distinction, in Sports Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University. Lucy joined the NCC on the very first Composites Conversion Course a little over a year ago. She can confirm, she has been converted. Lucy now works within the Sustainability and Multi-Materials team, where the majority of her work focuses on sustainable practice within the composites industry. More specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the use of bio-based materials, applications for recycled composites, and the implementation of Life Cycle Assessments.
